UWCF to Publish Book Featuring Tributes to Women

UNITED WAY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA TO PUBLISH BOOK FEATURING TRIBUTES TO WOMEN

Polk, FL – The Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Central Florida will publish a book featuring tributes to women. The book, A Celebration of Women, will be published in Fall of 2014, and tributes can be purchased to honor any woman or group of women until May 15th, 2014.

“This is the first time our Women’s Leadership Council has ventured into fundraising,” said Karyn Sikora Rubel, Director of Women’s Leadership Council. “Proceeds from this project will be invested in our early literacy initiatives.”

Anyone who wishes to pay tribute to a special woman or group of women in their lives may purchase either a full page, half page, or quarter page tribute in the book. Tributes include a photograph of the woman or women, along with name(s) and text about those being honored. The women may have any relationship with the person purchasing the tribute, including family, friends, or coworkers.

Photographs can be provided to the WLC for inclusion in the book, or a professional portrait session is available for those purchasing a full or half page tribute. Text is written by the person or group purchasing the tribute.

“We are excited about the prospect of honoring women who have positively impacted others and about raising funds to support our continued efforts to promote early childhood education,” said Judy MacDougall, WLC Tribute Book Committee Chair. “The pictorial tribute book will include memories that will last a lifetime.”
