Help solve polk's biggest problems!
SlingShot Polk is collaborating with the United Way of Central Florida to identify and solve the biggest problems in Polk County! Our goal is to take United Way’s three impact areas (Education, Income, and Health) and bring them to the forefront for our young entrepreneurs to solve. Winning prototypes could be implemented at Polk County’s Crystal Lake Elementary, a Community Partnership School. First, second, and third place winners in two contest categories (middle/high & college through age 29) will receive cash prizes! Middle school, high school, and college students & entrepreneurs through age 29 are invited to enter plans outlining a solution to one of Polk’s biggest problems.

Rules for entry
• The competition is open to those in middle school through age 29.
• Up to four individuals on a team .
• Submitted plan must be for a new venture/idea/concept that addresses a need as identified by United Way in the areas of Education, Income, and Health.
