Financial Counseling New Focus for Families

Consistent with the new approach, The Salvation Army of West Polk has pioneered the use of Money Coaches. Money Coaches are volunteers who stay in close touch with a family and encourage them toward their financial goals. Family Emergency Services of Winter Haven is managing a free tax site to help families direct part of their returns to savings. Enterprise Community Services is conducting workplace financial education sessions and identifying employees for one-on-one credit repair so families can keep more of what they earn.
