Because MONEY MATTERS

On January 25, 2014, Florida Prosperity Partnership Polk held MONEY MATTERS 2014 at the Coleman –Bush Building in Lakeland Florida. This was a public awareness event hosted by Florida Prosperity Partnership, BB&T Bank, The City of Lakeland, and The United Way of Central Florida, to showcase all of the financial programs the United Way of Central Florida’s Partners have to offer.

Participants took part in budgeting exercises, scheduled appointments for FREE Tax preparation, and discussed credit concerns with professional credit counselors. Food and fun was shared by all and lots of great information was given. A few lucky participants won gift cards and everyone left with great ideas on how to manage their money.

Florida Prosperity Partnership Polk will be offering these community awareness events four times throughout this year in Polk County.
