One of the core target issues at United Way of Central Florida is improving the financial
stability of individuals and families within our community. To improve services within that
area, a new program has been created that will create a permanent, local position to provide
financial services for moderate wage earners in Polk & Hardee counties.
The Prosperity Director for United Way of Central Florida is new to the 2013 grant cycle, and is a collaboration with the Florida Prosperity Partnership. The program will support one full-time employee who will plan and develop community tools such as local credit counseling, money coaching, budgeting, and savings services. The intended result of the Prosperity Director program is to advance financial stability by helping people of moderate means attain the skills they need to save for emergencies and achieve financial assets. The ideal candidate will have a BA, and work experience in financial services, volunteer management, or promotions. Computer literacy is required, and the ability to work independently is important, as is the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
For more information about the Prosperity Director Position or to apply, contact: PolkDirector@FloridaProsperityPartnership.org. The application deadlline is July 17th.
