Welcome! Message from Jodi Miller, Director of Success By 6

On behalf of the United Way of Central Florida, I would like to thank you for believing in and supporting UWCF’s mission to improve people’s lives through the investment of our community’s resources. Organizations from across the community partner on critical issues impacting Education, Income and Health. No one program or funder can do it alone. Together we can make an impact that none of us can accomplish on our own.  Making a difference in our community is an important role for you and United Way. Thank you for helping make a difference! 

My name is Jodi Miller, and I am the Director of Success By 6. Created in 1995 and led by Carol Jenkins Barnett of Publix Super Markets Charities, United Way of Central Florida’s Success By 6 has focused on early literacy to help children enter school ready to succeed.  Thanks to local sponsors, we are getting books into the hands of children. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library project mails almost 1,000 free books directly to children’s homes every month. Lending Libraries placed at child care centers allow parents to borrow books at 117 child care centers to take home to read to their children.

We are working on many additional exciting projects, such as the Master Teachers doubling pre-k vocabulary skills!
