BBBS Partner School Leaps from C to A Grade

Grades aren't everything, but when you go from a C to an A, kudos are definitely in order! Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Tampa Bay, a United Way partner, was thrilled to hear the news that one Polk County partner school--Crystal Lake Elementary in Lakeland--moved up two grades and is now an A school.

We are sure that the dozens of "Bigs" (Big Brothers and Big Sisters) who mentor students at this school every week (34 Bigs at Crystal Lake!) have a lot to do with the improvement. We are really proud of those volunteers, their "Littles," the school administrators, teachers, and other community partners who work so hard to provide safe, productive, positive environments for learning and growing.
