United Way of Central Florida’s inaugural Build United has come to a close and the winners have been announced.

The winners of this year’s Build United are:

Most Food Collected - New Beginnings High School

Tallest Creation - Polk State Collegiate College

Most Creative - New Beginnings High School

Facebook Favorite - Catholic Charities of Central Florida and Adrenaline Body Works

Judges’ Choice - Camp Fire Sunshine Central Florida and GFWC Junior Woman’s Club of Lakeland

The winner of The Golden Can Award will be announced at our Annual Meeting on May 15th. Tickets are on sale now at uwcf.org/annual.

Thank you to everyone who participated and for raising a total of 5,608 items for local food pantries to help fight food insecurity. Additionally, Publix will be donating $5,608 for financial education classes at locations where families go to receive food.
