Tax Sites are Open!

If you have a family income of less than $64,000, you can have your 2017 taxes prepared by one of United Way of Central Florida's partners for free! 

To take advantage of this program, make an appointment at one of United Way's partners throughout Polk. If none of the partner locations are convenient, you can prepare your return yourself at www.myfreetaxes.com/polk  

Why are we doing this? United Way of Central Florida is promoting saving as a way to help families become financially stable. Family service partners are working to provide savings tools, credit repair services, banking classes and job credentialing to help families keep more of what they earn. Using tax returns to build savings accounts in preparation for financial emergencies is the focus of United Way's Free Tax Prep.
