At the sound of the starter pistol, United Way of Central Florida - Highlands County Division Campaign Celebration went full speed ahead.
Guests at the event, hosted at the home of Alan Jay Wildstein, were greeted with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and even friendly, yet competitive go cart races. But the main event was the presentation of this year’s Pacesetter Awards.
The awards went to NU-HOPE Elder Care Services for its $1,036 donation, Heacock Insurance Group for contributing $4,690, Highlands Regional Medical Center for its $6,479 campaign, South Florida State College for giving $9,850 and to Heartland National Bank for running its largest campaign yet, coming in at $13,413.
These organizations are setting the pace for a fantastic 2016/2017 campaign.
