Become a ReadingPal
A child who starts behind, stays behind and may never graduate from high school. By volunteering 1 hour a week as a ReadingPal, you can help a kindergarten student learn to read. Research shows that students working with a ReadingPal are promoted more frequently and score higher on standardized tests than similar students who have not had this special opportunity. Make a difference – become a ReadingPal. The program is in 12 Polk County schools and 2 Highlands County schools.
