2011 Annual Meeting is April 12th

Community leaders gather April 12th for the Annual United Way Meeting to recognize achievement, and agree to action in the current year. Last year's ceremony included singing by Kaden and Carley Rabern (pictured).

This year, the event will include the naming of the 2011 Volunteer of the Year during dinner at Highlands Park Church of the Nazarene, Lakeland.

A report of United Way's work in Education will be given, showing results assuring children receive quality services at pre-school providers. United Way will unveil new program work in financial education, credit repair and emergency savings accounts. Community work around improving health will be unveiled, too, with a focus on preventing avoidable medical intervention.
