This volunteer opportunity is January 23, 2020. Every January, HUD tasks local homeless advocates with conducting a census of the homeless population. It's called a point-in-time count. You'll be assigned to a team and a shift. All shifts are led by an experienced service provider and assignment will be sometime between 5 am to 5 pm. A training session is scheduled for you, prior to January 23. The teams will locate homeless people and assist with collecting basic informaiton requested by HUD.
